Glenn Fugate
Glenn Fugate
Biography
Glenn Fugate joined Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in 2021 and is a chemist supporting the National Security Directorate. He has led research efforts to support advancing the nuclear fuel cycle, nuclear nonproliferation, and nuclear safeguards in areas including environmental fate and transport, collector design, separations chemistry, analytical methods development, and material properties.
Before joining PNNL, Fugate was a researcher for the Department of Environmental Engineering and Sciences at Clemson University and the Department of Chemistry at Washington State University. He then went on to work in the nonproliferation technology section of Savannah River National Laboratory for nine years, followed by six years as a senior staff member of the Process Engineering Research group and leader of the Uranium Process Chemistry group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
