The Coastal Sciences Division is based out of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL)-Sequim where the division has access to unique assets, including a variety of research vessels, a scientific dive team, laboratory facilities, and specialized equipment. These facilities and capabilities provide platforms and testbeds for developing instrumentation, support advanced modeling and data analysis, and enable science from benchtop studies in the laboratory to in-water field research in the Pacific Northwest. Our unique capabilities in combination with our valued partners accelerate the research, development, testing, and evaluation of technology and methods from the “bench to the bay” and beyond.
