The PNNL Seattle Research Center is located in the heart of Seattle’s South Lake Union, alongside leading top tech companies, research institutions, and universities. Our Seattle office is home to an unmatched concentration of research and policy experts spanning the national security, energy, and environmental mission space and bringing courageous discovery and innovation to our laboratory at large.

PNNL’s Seattle presence dates back more than 40 years ago, when we focused on nonproliferation policy with a side of homeland security. 

Now situated in Seattle’s bustling Innovation District, the PNNL Seattle Research Center has more than 150 employees, plus interns and post-doctoral research associates. From global security to computational and data analytics to coastal sciences, energy, and environmental research, we tap into the region’s innovation hotbed to tackle complex issues at the nexus of science, technology, and policy and grow our capabilities and impact lab-wide.
