Explore. Connect. Discover.
Applications accepted from October 12 to November 6

The STEM Mini-Semester at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is a week-long, immersive experience sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science (SC) Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists (WDTS). Designed for undergraduate students, the program offers an inside look at national laboratory research through connections with PNNL researchers, exploration of DOE user facilities, and opportunities to discover the diverse science, technology, and career pathways available across the national laboratory system. Throughout the week, students will explore emerging areas of science and technology connected to the Genesis Mission, including super intelligence and machine learning (SI/ML), critical minerals, and other areas shaping the future of scientific discovery. You’ll meet PNNL researchers, connect with former Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) students, tour research facilities, and hear firsthand about the many pathways into national laboratory careers.
