Case Studies
Multi-benefit transmission corridors are not just a good idea for the future: these shared spaces already exist across the country today. Electric power utilities collaborate with local landowners, community groups, conservation organizations, municipalities, and more to advance recreation, conservation, and other valuable purposes in transmission corridors.
Through the ConCord effort, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory has initiated a documentation project to tell these stories. See the map below for snapshot case studies, and check back as the list grows. In fall 2025, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory will formally collect examples to showcase as well as publish deep case studies, all to enable more partnerships for multi-benefit transmission corridors.
