Carbon Utilization and Storage Partnership for the Western USA
PNNL researchers are working with 12 universities, seven geological surveys, three research institutes, and two other national laboratories to accelerate onshore Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) technology deployment in the western region of the United States.
The collaboration, known as the Carbon Utilization and Storage Partnership, will coordinate capabilities and experience in CCUS including:
- Data collection, analysis, and synthesis;
- modeling; and
- scenario development to support more rapid implementation of commercial-scale technologies.
PNNL’s role, specifically, is to process data collected from the U.S.
Visit the U.S. Department of Energy’s Fossil Energy website for more information about CCUS.
