Matthew Brummett

Matthew (Matt) Brummett joined the contract support team to NA-71 in January 2025. Matt has 25 years’ experience in the nuclear industry with 20 years’ experience working in Material Control and Accountability (MC&A). His various roles and job duties have included technical measurements; material control oversight as a material balance area custodian; and program compliance dealing with procedures, issues management, site MC&A plan revisions, and performance testing. Most recently he was an MC&A representative on the Uranium Processing Facility Project at Y-12. He is a member of the Institute of Nuclear Material Management and has been a past member-at-large for the Central Region Chapter.

Denise “Dee” Hess

Denise (Dee) Hess is a safeguards and security specialist supporting National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) MC&A, with over 35 years of experience across the DOE complex, including Mound of Ohio and Y-12. An Army Reservist and Military Police veteran, she finds the MC&A community a dedicated group of professionals who truly care about their work and take pride in what they do. It is a field she values deeply and continues to grow in alongside others dedicated to the work. Dee lives in Kingston, Tennessee, with her horses, Todd and Cash, and enjoys traveling, trail riding, camping, and spending time with her Aussiedoodle, Dolly.
