Energy Storage Siting and Permitting Workshop

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) experts will bring together a cohort of state and regional stakeholders from across the country to build a shared understanding of energy storage technologies, regulatory frameworks, and best practices for engaging in permitting processes.
Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of energy storage technologies, grid uses and benefits, interconnection and regulatory processes, battery safety standards and risk management, and community engagement strategies and approaches. Participants will also get the chance to visit PNNL’s cutting-edge Grid Storage Launchpad for hands-on exposure to energy storage research and development.
