Our innovative technologies are finding solutions to the greatest challenges around environmental remediation, monitoring, and sustainability. Often, this research results in intellectual property ready for transfer to U.S. markets. We offer a variety of methods, sensors, and acoustic transmitters for tracking and studying fish, animals, and organisms, particularly near hydropower facilities. One of our available technologies is ThermalTracker-3D, which provides valuable information about the potential effects of offshore wind turbines on bat and bird populations by extracting their flight tracks from thermal video recordings. Other innovations provide subsurface monitoring software solutions for environmental stewardship. Yet another innovation is PNNL’s PFAS Sensor, a point-of-use, lab-on-a-chip device that can quickly identify forever chemicals in the water.
