Pathway Summer Schools
@ PNNL
Are you interested in learning about energy sciences and exploring what it is like to be an intern at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL)? Our five-week Pathway Summer Schools (PSS) provide culturally relevant, active learning experiences that unpack the science driving energy research as part of the Department of Energy Office of Science’s Reaching a New Energy Sciences Workforce (RENEW) initiative. Sponsored by the Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists (WDTS), applications for experiences at the PNNL-Sequim and PNNL-Richland campuses are now open.
These immersive, cohort-based programs introduce students to the teams at PNNL that conduct research in renewable and sustainable energy science. The PSS program provides students with mentoring, professional development, experiential learning, engaging field trips and tours, and conversations with leading experts.
