This premier partnership launched to align the strategic capabilities of PNNL and the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP)

As one of the Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) 17 national laboratories, PNNL is a leading institution for scientific innovation in the United States. With top-notch facilities and instrumentation, PNNL provides a unique opportunity for STEM workforce development and faculty collaboration with UTEP.

UTEP is an R1 research university, a designation given to the top 5 percent of colleges and universities nationally. Additionally, it is the only R1 that has an open enrollment policy. Forty-nine percent of UTEP students are first-generation university attendees.
