Team science is integral to the RC-SFA’s scientific and technical advancements. Monthly team science meetings provide an opportunity to build team science skills together. The RC-SFA has a number of mentoring activities to support individual and team development. For example, bi-annual mentoring meetings between the principal investigator and each team member provide an opportunity for one-on-one mentoring and feedback for every member of the team.

The RC-SFA has a series of guidance documents it has developed to create and sustain a safe and supportive team science culture. These are living documents that are revised as needed and reviewed annually. The team norms and expectations are discussed at every weekly team meeting and can be found here. The other guidance documents include code of conduct and reporting guidance, accessibility guidance, mentoring guidance, fieldwork guidance, and authorship guidance. All are available upon request.
