Objectives
The purpose of this project is to develop a resiliency support tool based on Dynamic Contingency Analysis Tool (DCAT) that can be used for restoration planning following an event leading to major network disruption. DCAT capabilities (dynamics, protection, and corrective action) will be assembled in a reversed way to dynamically study sequences of restoration options. This new capability for DCAT will be helpful for industry planning engineers to restore the system and grid infrastructure to perform off-line transmission planning studies in an efficient way.
