Resilience Through Data-Driven, Intelligently Designed Control (RD2C)
The speed of control and robustness of cyber-physical systems underpinning critical infrastructures must evolve in the face of increasing complexities, uncertainties, and threats imposed by new technologies and use cases. PNNL’s Resilience Through Data-Driven, Intelligently Designed Control (RD2C) laboratory directed research initiative will develop a high-fidelity, data-driven, and predictive understanding of cyber-physical systems under adverse conditions that will enable novel, intelligent, and more resilient sensing and control implementations. RD2C outcomes will yield a deeper phenomenological understanding of cyber-physical systems under adverse conditions and provide new theories, algorithms, and working prototypes for multi-scale intelligent control, increasing the resiliency of the cyber-physical systems that underpin our critical infrastructures.
