During his three-year appointment, Motkuri will help oversee manuscripts in four areas of research — metal-organic frameworks, zeolites, sorption, and heterogeneous catalysis. He also will help maintain and improve the journal’s quality and standards by monitoring the editorial policy and the quality of papers published.

“Having worked in the area of inorganic and material chemistry for the past 18 years, I am excited and honored to be part of the editorial team of the ICA journal,” Motkuri stated.

Motkuri joined PNNL in 2008. His research experience is in material chemistry with an emphasis on nanoporous materials. His current work includes engineering nanoporous materials for various applications, including adsorption cooling, gas separation, and heterogeneous catalysis. Motkuri has published more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and holds 12 international patents. In addition, he has organized or co-organized multiple American Chemical Society symposiums. Motkuri earned his Ph.D. in Zeolites/Supramolecular Chemistry from the University of Hyderabad in India.
