Chatterjee Joins the Risk Analysis Editorial Board
Risk Analysis is the flagship journal of the Society for Risk Analysis
Samrat (Sam) Chatterjee, a chief data scientist and team leader with the Data Sciences and Machine Intelligence group within the Advanced Computing, Mathematics, and Data Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), has been invited to serve on the editorial board of the journal, Risk Analysis. This is the flagship journal for the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA), the premier international society for risk analysis professionals.
“I am honored to be invited to join the editorial board for Risk Analysis,” said Chatterjee. “Throughout this appointment, I will work with the journal and society leadership to ensure the highest-possible scholarly quality for the journal.”
Chatterjee has been a highly active member of SRA for 15 years. He has served in multiple leadership roles within SRA, including chairing specialty groups on security and defense and engineering and infrastructure.
At PNNL, Chatterjee leads national security and computational science research efforts in support of multiple Department of Homeland Security, Department of Energy, and Department of Defense sponsors with focus on infrastructure network resilience modeling, security risk and decision analytics, and multi-agent learning and optimization.
Chatterjee has authored two books, six book chapters, and over 100 peer-reviewed publications in the infrastructure resilience, risk science, and artificial intelligence/machine learning domains, many of which have received best paper awards. He also holds an affiliate faculty appointment with Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, and is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
