Abstract

This Special Topic Collection in the Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology A has been compiled to celebrate the exceptional contributions of Professor Charles S. Fadley to the fields of photoelectron spectroscopy and surface and interface science. The five reviews and 22 articles in this collection cover important challenges, new developments, and current understanding in these fields.
