AECC is a multiagent, human-in-the-loop toolchain that assists export control professionals in determining whether a commodity meets the technical specifications of any Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) found on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Commerce Control List (Title 15, Part 774 of the Code of Federal Regulations). The system employs document schematization, retrieval-augmented generation–based candidate generation, declarative logic, and semantic classification to generate a set of possible ECCN candidates that may match the commodity under review.
