Karisa Saywers joined Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) as a communications professional focusing on energy storage. She brings a wealth of experience in strategic communications, content development, media relations, public relations, and social media management.

Before her role with PNNL, Saywers served as the director of marketing for Visit Tri-Cities, where she played a pivotal role in elevating awareness of the Tri-Cities as a premier destination through comprehensive communication strategies and innovative media campaigns. Most recently, she served as a senior communications specialist for the Department of Energy’s prime contractor, Central Plateau Cleanup Company. In this role, she developed communications plans highlighting mission advancements, project successes, and employees.
