Biography

Jon Helgeland has over 30 years of experience in the materials science field. Before joining Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in January of 2019, he worked in industry at Hammond Group, Piezotechnologies, Praxair Specialty Ceramics, TRS Ceramics, Aura Ceramics, GE Superabrasives, EDO Western Division, and Motorola Ceramic Products. Helgeland has worked in a number of areas, including process development of electro-optic materials, piezoelectrics, dielectrics, conducting ceramics, and polycrystalline diamond products. He has been involved in business development for piezoelectric materials and ultrasonic devices.
