Biography
Christian Alvarez is an early career chemical engineer in the Nuclear Chemistry and Engineering group in the Energy and Environment Directorate whose research centers primarily on hydrodynamics of liquid-liquid extraction processes for uranium and plutonium separations as well as filtration and ion exchange processing testing for the Hanford Site clean-up. He began working full-time at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in October 2022 after having worked the previous year as a battery materials research intern.
