Supervised learning of photoelectron counting in scintillator-based dark matter experiments

Abstract

We present a supervised learning method to perform photoelectron counting in PMT- based dark matter search experiments and show that it is possible to achieve better accuracy and precision compared to standard Bayesian statistics methods.
