The measurement of radioactive fission products from nuclear events has important implications for nuclear data production, environmental monitoring, and nuclear forensics. The intent of this work was to measure select lanthanide isotopes using a nitric acid gradient on Eichrom Tech-nologies’ LN extraction resin from a mixed fission product sample produced from the irradiation of highly enriched uranium. The separation methods presented are reproducible, robust, and allow for multiple samples to be processed in parallel.
