Role of non-CO2 greenhouse gas emissions in limiting global warming

Abstract

Achieving Paris goals requires comprehensive mitigation strategies including non-CO2 emissions, which can rapidly reduce near-term climate forcing and will become the dominant anthropogenic emissions as CO2 emissions approach zero. Mitigation efforts should include all sectors and sources – including emerging sources, emissions measurements, and rewarding innovation and technology transfer.
