Abstract

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) has completed the fourth year draft Annual Letter Report that summarizes i) NRC needs for climate and hydrologic information, ii) recent research into climate and hydrologic changes that may affect nuclear power plants; iii) recent reports by federal agencies, as well as national and international organizations tasked with climate change research and developing policy with respect to climate change and mitigation; and iv) trends and advances in accommodating required climate change estimates in site specific evaluations. The Northeast U.S., a region defined by the Forth National Climate Assessment is the focus of this report. The NRC COR will review and provide comments on this draft within four weeks.
