Atomized silver spheres (=53?m diameter) were coated with a 1 micron thick layer of (La0.6Sr0.4)0.98Co0.2Fe0.8O3-? via a mechanofusion dry processing method. The material was successfully utilized as an SOFC cathode on anode-supported YSZ electrolytes at 700ÂșC, producing >500 mW/cm2 (at 0.7 V) and exhibiting relatively stable performance (~3% power degradation per 1000 hours at 0.7V) during >2000 hours of operation.
