Particle Size and Density of a Slurry from Ultrasonic Backscattering Measurements at a Solid Interface

Abstract

A method has been developed to measure the particle size and density of a slurry from information from the first echo. A unique method to separate the signal reflected at the solid interface and the scattered signal leads to measurement of particle size and density.
