New ISO Standards on Reference Radiations

Abstract

Some ISO standards are widely used in many fields of endeavour, such as the ISO 9000 series on quality management, and the relatively new ISO 14000 series of standards[3] that deal with environmental management. Other ISO standards have resulted in greater worldwide consensus in a number of areas including the specification of photographic film sensitivity (the ISO film speed code), standard paper sizes, standardized symbols for automobile controls, standard metric screw threads and standardized electronic connector configurations.
