In article 1903472, Guosheng Li and co-workers report an advanced high-rate Na-FeCl2 battery using low cost NaCl and crust-rich Fe as cathode materials. The fast-charging capability of the Na-FeCl2 battery, rooted in a fast Fe/Fe2+ redox reaction, rapid NaCl-Na6FeCl8-FeCl2 phase transitions, and quick Fe2+ lattice diffusion within FeCl2, revamps the understanding of Na-metal halide batteries.
