Monte Carlo Modeling of Molecular Flow through Nano-Pathways in Irradiated TRISO Fuels

Abstract

A Monte Carlo model has been developed and used to calculate the probability that a molecule entering a breach in the TRISO fuel will be transmitted through it. Various defect geometries are modeled and comparisons with literature data made.
