Modeling the Radiolysis Effect on CSNF Dissolution Kinetics

Abstract

Using the dose to water from fresh commercial spent nuclear fuel, the radiolytic species produced are calculated. It is clear that even under oxidizing conditions, the effect of radiolysis in producing oxidizing species is important and may greatly affect the dissolution rate.
