Heavy Metal Transport and Behavior in the Lower Columbia River, USA

Abstract

Mining and smelting have been prominent industrial activities in the upper Columbia drainage basin for the past century. This study investigates how well downstream sediment responded to the termination or reduction of contaminant loading.
