Enhanced SO2 Concentrations Observed over Northern India: Role of Long-range Transport

Abstract

Volcanic emissions and coal burning are among the major sources of SO2 over the continental environment. In this study, we show episodes of long-range transport of volcanic SO2 from Africa to Northern India using satellite observations.
