Researchers at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) provide world-class energy R&D to the U.S. Department of Energy, other U.S. federal agencies, and industrial and international clients. Sometimes, however, they like to look around at their own neighborhood. PNNL staff recently developed a profile of energy use and production in their home state of Washington, and this article, the second of a two-part series, looks forward to the future of energy use in Washington.
