Development of Advanced Mica-Based Compressive Seals for SOFCs: The Effect of Thermal Cycling with Metallic Interlayers

Abstract

An advanced mica-based compressive seal was developed that showed an exceptionally low leak rate of -8.9x10-4 sccm/cm (800 degrees C), as compared to the plain compressive mica seals (6.6x10-1 sccm/cm).
