Developing Cost Curves for Carbon Dioxide Transport and Storage in China

Abstract

This paper presents the current status of the joint China-U.S. project to evaluate opportunities for the deployment of carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS) technologies within China. This CSLF-endorsed project is an ongoing collaborative effort focused on characterizing the technical and economic potential of CCS technologies in China and represents a first ever attempt to construct a detailed bottom-up assessment of the potential market for CCS technologies in this region.
