This Software Test Plan describes the overall ARES software testing plan. ARES will help law enforcement officers direct the pursuit of illicit radioactive materials in tranist, for exmaple, using video and radiological data together to confirm the location of the threat, track materials in transit, and re-locate a source that has moved out of the field of view. The software being developed on the ARES project is designed to support both data acquisition and analysis functionality for radiation detection systems. The ARES project and the software being developed provide an integration platform that allows developers within the NA-22 community to have a tool that allows them to vary inputs and process data coming in from a sensor or group of sensors.
