Training
Effective use of the VSP software in imperative to achieving the most useful and accurate outputs from the system. The VSP team offers several different types of training courses, depending on sponsor needs.
NRC Sponsored 3.5 Day Course
These training courses, offered 1-2 times a year, are taught by PNNL staff members and sponsored by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for its technical staff members and certain personnel within Agreement State Regulatory Programs. NRC staff members should register through the NRC iLearn system and Agreement State personnel must apply through Marcia Casby in the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards. There may be a limited number of slots available for employees from other federal government agencies to attend this course. On-Site Customized Training
VSP staff members can customize training for a variety of needs and topic areas. For details and cost estimates, email vsp@pnnl.gov with information about the type and location of course that you are interested in.
Online Self-Paced Training
VSP Training LLC is operated by Brent Pulsipher, former VSP program manager with over 15 years’ experience teaching and consulting on VSP applications. He has developed an online VSP training course that covers the same material offered in the in-person training.
