Biography

Yessica Carnley has experience working in various types of laboratories ranging from agricultural, research, and in the educational sectors. She previously worked at Washington State University Tri-Cities as a technical laboratory assistant, an adjunct laboratory instructor (instructed biology, botany, and organic chemistry), and at TRIO Student Support Services as a student success coach and supplemental instructor. Carnley also was the senior laboratory technician, quality assurance and quality control officer, laboratory safety officer, and the laboratory’s resident chemist for AgSource Laboratorie—an agricultural testing laboratory in Umatilla, Oregon.

Carnley is currently working at PNNL as a post master’s research associate for the Integrated Omics group in the biosample pipeline division. In this capacity, she assists with daily laboratory up-keep, project support, researching and collecting of information for studies, as well as the development of visual images in R.
