Varun Sood
Biography
Varun Sood joined Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in 2018 and supports the U.S. Army Reserve and the Federal Energy Management Program. His focus is on energy and water security (resilience) analysis, comprehensive energy and water evaluation efforts, and operations and maintenance in the federal sector. Sood works with federal agencies to develop tools, resources, and training to ensure facilities are operating efficiently and safely to save costs and maintain resilience.
Prior to joining PNNL, Sood was a resource efficiency manager for the United States Army Reserve and was responsible for promoting the energy and water conservation programs for the 63rd Readiness Division. During his tenure, the 63rd Readiness Division Energy Program received a 2016 Secretary of the Army Energy and Water Management Award for Energy Efficiency and Energy Management, Small Group.
