Biography

Tara Robertson is the Director of Federal Affairs at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where she leads PNNL’s federal government affairs strategy on Capitol Hill and works to develop and maintain key congressional relationships. She is based in Washington, D.C.

Prior to joining PNNL, Robertson was the vice president of external affairs for America’s Poison Centers and directed the federal government affairs strategy for the nation’s 55 poison control centers. She also spent over a decade on Capitol Hill, serving in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. During her time there, Robertson worked as the deputy chief of staff to the former chairman of the House Rules Committee, Congressman David Dreier. She also worked for former Senator Mike Enzi and served as legislative director to former Congressman Doc Hastings and legislative assistant to former Senator Slade Gorton.

An Arizona native, Robertson graduated from the University of Arizona College of Law and is an active member of The State Bar of California. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in history and political science and also minored in music, where she was a member of the University of Washington Symphony.
