Group Leader, Global Research and Analysis

Biography

Sandy is a statistician with a PhD from Colorado State University and has demonstrated experience working across disciplines and building integrated project teams. This includes several high-profile, multi-laboratory ventures for Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation Research and Development (R&D).

As group leader of the Global Nuclear Science and Technology Group, Sandy establishes priorities for developing the group’s analysis capability and defining its equities in the Radiochemical Processing Laboratory via a strong partnership with colleagues in the Energy and Environment Directorate. She works to strategically diversify the sponsor base for analytic products and increase the role of the group’s work for Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation R&D. Bringing these two worlds closer together through a strong partnership with the program development office requires realizing the power of integration between analysts and experimentalists.
