Biography

Saikat Ghosh is a staff scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). Ghosh has expertise in air quality, dispersion modeling, environmental transport modeling, and environmental monitoring. His project work includes developing atmospheric dispersion codes, environmental dose assessment code, aerosol transport models, emissions calculations, and National Environmental Policy Act review.

Before joining PNNL in 2020, Ghosh worked at Ohio University as a research scientist where he provided technical solutions in air quality research including greenhouse gas estimates, SMOKE-CMAQ simulations of ozone and mercury, aerosol source apportionment with HYSPLIT, soil–plant–atmosphere interaction modeling, and AERMOD simulation. Ghosh also operated a mercury monitoring site and performed flight measurements of methane and field experiments to collect and analyze pesticide vapor flux.
