Biography

Ravi G. Ravichandran is a principal systems architect with the Computing and Data Operations team in the Environmental Molecular Sciences Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. In addition, he leads the Data Architecture team helping with the delivery of applications and systems used by the researchers.

Ravichandran is a successful software architect with more than 25 years of industry experience working in a fast-paced and people-oriented environment. He built and delivered end-to-end Enterprise Class business solutions using cutting-edge technologies. His expertise includes software architecture, information technology management, change management, and technology guidance. Recognized for his pragmatic leadership, Ravichandran balances vision with execution. He has presented key strategies and led discussions with chief information officers at the Microsoft Executive Briefing Center and is equally at ease with writing and debugging code with developers. Working together as a team, he is passionate about applying software and systems knowledge to solving critical business problems. Ravichandran’s portfolio includes tenures at AT&T Bell Laboratories, General Motors Advanced Engineering, Microsoft Consulting Services, Microsoft IT, and the Hawaii County Police Department.
