Biography

Patrick Mackey is a data scientist leading the Computational Social Science team within the Foundational Data Science Group at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). An employee since 2004, Mackey supports the National Security Directorate through his research on graph analytics for national security applications, which includes domain areas such as social network analysis, critical infrastructure, and cybersecurity. His work spans both data science research and operational software development. Among his notable projects is Green Hornet, a visualization tool for large graph exploration that is currently used in numerous real-world applications. Additionally, he is exploring the integration of modern artificial intelligence capabilities to enhance graph generation and analytics.
