Biography

Palak Mattoo is a Data Scientist in the Optimization & Control group within the Energy & Environment Directorate. Her work focuses on developing interactive front-end applications and visualization tools that support research in energy data analysis, multi-objective optimization, and science communication. She has contributed to projects involving GenAI-assisted visualizations, the development of an interactive decision support dashboard, and dynamic web applications for communicating complex scientific narratives using Python, Plotly Dash, React, Svelte, FIGMA, and Tailwind CSS.

Prior to joining PNNL, Palak worked as a Lead Associate at WNS and a Business Analyst at Genpact. At WNS, she led a team of five junior analysts and developed web-based applications used in over 30 countries to enhance Salesforce effectiveness. She holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Northeastern University, Seattle, and brings a combined background in software development, data analytics, and visualization to her current role.
