Biography
Natalie joined the Radiological Materials group at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as an undergraduate intern in April 2024. Her research with this group centers around Hanford legacy nuclear waste processing and vitrification. She has been on projects involving the formulation and testing of simulant nuclear waste feeds and glasses, feed rheology, glass durability testing, and the use of archeological analogues to predict long-term behaviors of waste glasses. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in health physics at Columbia Basin College in Pasco, WA. She will graduate in June 2025 and will continue to pursue nuclear waste related research after that time.
