Biography

Molly Cragin is a post-master’s research associate at PNNL. She holds a master’s degree in materials science and engineering and an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Arizona. Molly originally joined PNNL as a technical intern in 2021, transitioning to research associate in 2025. For her graduate research, she studied the additive manufacturing of composite materials for radiation shielding of satellite microelectronics.

Molly’s research interests lie in applied and critical materials, environmental remediation, advanced nuclear technologies, pandemic prevention, and building science. She enjoys being challenged, thinking creatively, and finding clear ways to communicate complex ideas. In her free time, Molly enjoys road and mountain biking, cooking, woodworking, tennis, and she volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, Math Club, and Girls on the Run.
