Retired - Advisor, Applied Decision Analytics

Biography

During his tenure at PNNL, Mr. Mark Triplett's experience and interests focused on the application of decision analysis, systems engineering, and data visualization methods to complex environmental problems. Since 1990, most of Mr. Triplett’s work supported cleanup activities at the Hanford Site. He served as a project manager and as an advisor to senior managers responsible for Hanford cleanup within the Department of Energy’s Richland Operations Office and Office of River Protection. His focus was on the development of automated tools for visualizing and analyzing industrial hygiene data, including waste tank vapor emissions, to support safe operations of Hanford’s tank farms. Mr. Triplett also led PNNL’s support to Japanese organizations involved with decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. Mr. Triplett consulted with Japanese industry and government leaders regarding the revitalization of the communities affected by the 2011 Fukushima reactor accidents. He now is retired from PNNL.
