Biography
Maren Disney joined Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in 2014 as a communications specialist in the National Security Directorate (NSD) at PNNL-Seattle. In her role, Maren translates complex scientific information into user-friendly publications. She is currently the communications portfolio lead for the NSD Program Development Office, homeland security sector, and Northwest Regional Technology Center. Her previous projects include communications for the NNSA Graduate Fellowship Program, Emergency Management of Tomorrow Research Program, First Responder Capability Roadmap and Responder Technology Alliance, and several groups within NSD, including Emerging Threats and Technologies, Global Security Technology & Policy (now Strategic Threat Analysis and Threat Prevention and Resilience), National Security Professional Leadership, and Mission Alignment.
Prior to joining PNNL, Maren was a communications specialist at CH2M, where she developed information products showcasing environmental cleanup at the Hanford Site and nuclear decommissioning projects around the world.
